Don’t want to read about planning and just want to GET THE PLANNER?
Are you a planner? Whether with your blog planning or your life planning—do you plan? I would definitely tick the “it’s complicated” option with planning. I LOVE the idea of it (hence creating a free blog planner for you!) and I love planning to plan. But I recently went through a very thorough Birkman test that revealed that my organization is a little more…unconventional. I like to plan in order that I can break my plans in favor of being spontaneous. I know. Doesn’t make sense to me either. But the fact that I just took down my November calendar from the wall (oh, and it was blank) reveals how true it is in actuality.
Here’s what I DO love: looking at the big picture. Going through the past to see what has worked, weighing that in terms of my current goals, and using it to create an actionable strategy that will work to get me from point A to point B. This is what I do in my brand audits and email audits for clients.
This blog planner is way more than a scheduler for your content! It is an overarching strategy plan to take over the world! Okay, maybe not the world. But definitely your niche and your area. If you go through even a chunk of this planner, you will be able to look at your blog and business as a whole more strategically and will be more likely to accomplish your goals because you have an informed PLAN, based on analytics and aligned with your current focus. So what’s in this epic blog planning guide? 50 pages of awesome. You will:
- Look at your overarching goals
- Identify a yearly focus
- Define your blog goals
- Write out a strategy for your email list
- Create a social media strategy plan
- Analyze analytics to see what worked
- Plan out guest posts and syndication
- Choose your top revenue streams
- Determine how you will spend your time on a daily to monthly scale
My favorite page? Is the Priorities Pie, where you will make your own pie chart of where you want to spend your time, energy, and focus. Who doesn’t love pie?
Want to have a focused, fantastic 2016? Or…do you want to do like me and create a detailed plan so you can feel free to break all your plans!
It doesn’t matter if you are just starting out with your blog or have been blogging for years. Consider this a self-guided evaluation. I based this on the brand audits I do for clients and went a few steps deeper. (Mostly because having someone else look at things for you gives an edge you don’t have when you’re by yourself.)
Print out all 50 pages. Lock yourself in an office for a night and plan the most epic 2016 possible. My goals? My focus? I’m glad you asked. But I haven’t sat down with my own epic blog planner…yet. I have a lot of projects coming up. More courses. Some guest posts. Fantastic podcast interviews.
I have some big dreams. I’m pumped. I can’t wait! Is it clear that I really like what I do? This past year was pretty epic. I mean…I launched this site. I launched a podcast. I spoke at conferences. I launched courses, free and paid. I had fun. TONS OF FUN.
What are you looking forward to this year? What is your grand master plan to take over the world? If you aren’t sure yet, snag your free blog planner!
This looks great! I’ve tried blogging off and on, but always felt something was lacking. I hope this planner helps me figure out what that is, and do something good about it. 🙂
As a planner addict I am very much in love with this planner. Thanks for putting it together!
So excited to see where blogging takes me in 2016 and I think this planner will help tremendously! Thanks, Kirsten!!
